The Patriot Institute of Neuro-Regeneration in El Segundo is a non-profit bio/pharmaceutical research organization developing neuro-regeneration protocols and clinical trials for CTE, TBI, spinal cord injury, stroke damage, and related neurological trauma.
Nearly three decades in neuro-oncology, real-world registry research, and FDA Fast Track work shaped our patented Matthew Protocol, uniting biologics, pharmaceuticals, devices, and The Marisa Method to target devastating neurological conditions.
We prioritize veterans, athletes, and abuse survivors, offering free education, trial pre-qualification, and practical support. Every donation and apparel purchase fuels research access for people written off as untreatable.
At The Patriot Institute, we believe that life-saving science requires uncompromised integrity. We proudly guarantee that 100% of your donation directly funds clinical registry trials and free treatments for disabled veterans, athletes, and domestic abuse survivors. Because we are committed to the highest ethical standards, we conduct mandatory background screenings and do not accept financial contributions from individuals with a criminal record.
Matthew Plummer, MBA, serves as CEO and co-founder of The Patriot Institute of Neuro-Regeneration. A childhood TBI, later concussions, daily migraines, PTSD, and suspected CTE did not end his life plans, they reshaped them. He rebuilt his own cognition under the care of Cedars-Sinai neurologists, pairing biologics, medication, and targeted physical therapy with disciplined changes in sleep, movement, and self-talk.
Over nearly three decades in neuro-oncology and registry research, Matthew helped drive real-world data that supported FDA approval of Optune for glioblastoma. Now a neuroscience doctoral candidate, he leads design of the Matthew Protocol and PRC-Forms, uniting scientific rigor with lived experience to serve veterans, athletes, and abuse survivors.
John Matthew, MD, serves as Chief Scientific Officer and Medical Director, guiding our clinical strategy and trial design. Trained at Cedars-Sinai Health System with medical education at the University of California, Los Angeles, he brings deep expertise in neurology and neuro-oncology.
Dr. Matthew helps translate the Matthew Protocol into physician-driven observational registries and future clinical trials, ensuring alignment with IRB standards, GLP principles, and FDA expectations. His role anchors our work in practical bedside medicine while supporting careful use of advanced imaging, biologics, pharmaceuticals, and The Marisa Method to address devastating neurological trauma.
